About the Deerfield Handmade Market Summer:
Located in the heart of Deerfield Township, Kingswood Park is known for its lush green landscape. This is the perfect location for the market. Guests will enjoy the works of 100 local and regional artists. This is an outdoor event, apart from the Aspiring Young Artist Entrepreneurs, who are located inside the Activity Center at Kingswood Park.
This event features music and food trucks throughout the day.
This event is free to the community with ample free parking.

April 20th – Artists Acceptance and Notification Date – Notification comes via email through PayPal.
April 22nd – All payments are due to save your space.
Collaborating Artists for Aspiring Young Artist Entrepreneurs
There can NO sharing of space. Each table represents one (1) artist.
Space Information:
Each young artist is given a table measuring in width 30” W by 60” L.
Each young artist space will be issued approximately 1ft – 2ft behind them.
Each young artist will be issued two chairs.
Each young artist is responsible to cover and decorate at their choosing.
Refund Policy:
No refunds will be issued after the date: May 1, 2027.
Prohibited Items:
No burning candles are permitted in the Activity Center.
No burning incense is permitted in the Activity Center.
NO – absolutely – NO GLITTER is permitted in the Activity Center.
Arrival and Setup:
Most likely, Aspiring Young Artists will be able to set up the day before the event. We are still working on these details.
Or young artists will be able to set up the day of the event, starting at 7:30am and required to be all set up by 10:30am.
All cars must be parked across the street from the park.
We do prefer that young artists be set up the day before and will be in contact with you about that in a timely manner.
The Activity Center has restrooms and a small utility kitchen.
Sales and Expectations
The Arts Alliance sees this portion of the market as a learning experience for young people. From the creation of artwork to a sales transaction, is expected that each young artist will manage will aspects of their experience, including decoration of their table and space. Each young artist must have a guardian with them at all times.
Rules/Regulations
We expect all artwork to have been handmade by the young artist. This includes, but is not limited to , buy-sell, imported items, kit made, patterned items, and commercially manufactured. If prohibited items are found, the young artist and guardian will be asked to leave the festival and forfeit all fees. Removal decisions are at the discretion of the Event Director who is the final arbiter of any such decision. We do understand that certain findings, such as jewelry clasps, will be purchased.
Work is juried. Please be sure your application is filled out with the proper social media outlets for jury (if your work is featured on those sites). Or young artists are required to send four (4) samples of the work to deerfieldhandmademarket@gmail.com. Please be sure your name is included in the SUBJECT line.
Young artists retain 100% of their sales and responsible for the collection and reporting of all applicable sales taxes. Ohio sales tax is 7.0% (if they so choose). You do not report sales to The Arts Alliance.
We hope for great weather, but often times, Mother Nature has other ideas. There are no refunds for inclement weather.
Load in and load out instructions will be sent to you in a timely fashion.
Liability:
The Arts Alliance is not responsible for any damaged or broken items.

Legal Agreement:
I have read the 2024 Handmade Market application and all terms, cancelation and refund policies, event rules and regulations and this Legal Agreement and hereby agree to abide by them. The undersigned through execution of this application and acceptance into Handmade Market does hereby release, forever discharge and hold harmless The Arts Alliance and all event Sponsors, directors, officers, employees, volunteers and the agents of same from all action, suits, damages or claims whatsoever arising from any loss or damage to person and property of the undersigned including but not limited to theft, vandalism, personal injury, strike, public enemy, and act of God and agree to indemnify the above named for any damage arising from good faith conduct in their engagement with The Arts Alliance and enforcement of all festival rules.
I further agree that upon acceptance into Handmade Market photographs or digital images of me and/or my work including my artist statement and testimonials in writing may be used by Handmade Market for promotional and/or publicity purposes. I agree to abide by all Handmade Market rules, regulations and terms and understand that If I violate any of them, as determined at the sole discretion of the Event Director, The Festival reserves the right to remove work that does not meet standards or is not consistent in style or subject matter with the images submitted and may terminate my participation in The Festival at any time with no refund of exhibition fees. The undersigned also understands that the above named reserves the right to alter details of Handmade Market on an as-needed basis.
The Handmade Market is a family-oriented event. The work exhibited must be appropriate for viewers of all ages. Handmade Market Committee shall have the sole, exclusive and final authority to determine any work not acceptable for display at the Handmade Market. Any work determined to be unacceptable will be removed so as not to be viewed by the public during the Handmade Market.
We reserve the right to refuse any application for any reason.
