ART BAR = Community of Arts

April 17, 2015 by Meredith Raffel

APRIL PICThe Arts Alliance introduced the first ART BAR event last night at Whole Foods Market – Mason!  The Art Bar concept is one of ease, breeze and enjoy. We want to give the community a place to relax, create and explore their creativity. Lots of people say that they “can’t” , but we know that they can! We hope that the ART BAR gives people a safe place to just be, after all, our slogan for the ART BAR is CREATE, PARTAKE and BE MERRY!

As the participants filed in, they enjoyed appetizers, refreshments and some headed to the bar for a glass of wine.  Instructor, Terri Belford lead the charge in teaching us how to crochet wire-beaded bracelets. Even if you’ve never crocheted, beaded or created, this project was easy to master. And the results were so pretty.

The concept behind the ART BAR is to learn a new skill and create something beautiful that is solely unique to you! After all…YOU don’t look like anyone else, why would you want your artwork to look like anyone else’s?!

Our next ART BAR will be held on Thursday, May 21, as artist Karen Kurak teaches us how to make Fiber Coiled Bowls! We hope you’ll join us!
