Liberty Center Arts Festival

The 2nd Annual Liberty Center Arts Festival (formally the Art on the Square) will showcase this region’s foremost artists. Artist will be located on the beautiful green spaces located on the property, as well as the streets of Liberty. Over 50 artists will be featured. Presented in partnership between the Liberty Center and The Arts Alliance, organizers strive to create the highest quality event.
Liberty Center Arts Festival Artist Prospectus
The Liberty Center Arts Festival seeks to set the highest standards for this judged and juried event. Participation is open to artists in all Fine Arts and Fine Craft medias.
Exhibitor must provide the jury with four photos that are representative of their work. A photo of the booth is required. If exhibitor does not have a photo of their booth, please contact organizers.
Best of Show: $250 LC Gift Card
1st Place: $100 LC Gift Card
2nd Place: $50.00 LC Gift Card
3rd Place: $50.00 LC Gift Card
Application is due May 10th.
Artists will be notified by email regarding acceptance.
If not accepted, $75.00 booth fee will be returned.
Exhibitor booth MUST BE WHITE. There will be no exceptions.
Exhibitor booths MUST BE WEIGHED down. If tent is not weighed down at the time of the start of event, exhibitors will not be permitted to participate.
Electric is provided, but not guaranteed. Please indicate on application your request for electricity.
Staff will help those who require water for display.
Free admission for show patrons.
All Exhibitors will be provided Name/Medium signage.
Load in will begin at 7:00am. Exhibitors must be set up by 10:00am.
There is on-premise security. Artists leave artwork at their own risk.
Booth sitters will be available throughout the day, provided by The Arts Alliance.
The event is heavily promoted through newspaper, website listings, email blasts and social media, as well as on the Liberty Center grounds.
April 15 – Application deadline for jury
April 30 – May 2 – Jury Notification: Invited artists will be emailed.
May 10 – Confirmation deadline if you attending.
Ceramics: Original clay and porcelain work excluding jewelry. If multiple pieces of the same design are displayed, the artist must sign each piece.
Digital Art: Original work for which the original image, or the manipulation of other source material was executed by the artist using a computer. Traditional photographs taken through a camera should apply as photography.
Drawing and Pastels: Original work created using dry media including chalk, charcoal, pastels, pencil, wax, crayon, etc. or from the fluid medium of inks and washes applied by pen or brush.
Fiber: All work crafted from fibers, including basketry, embroidery, weaving, tapestry and papermaking.
Glass: All handmade glass items.
Jewelry: All jewelry produced from metal, glass, clay, fiber, paper, plastic, or other materials must be entered in this category. No commercial casts, molds or production studio worked is allowed.
Metalwork: Includes all non-sculptural, non-jewelry works crafted from metals.
Mixed Media: This category includes works, both 2D and 3D, which incorporate more than one type of physical material to produce. This includes non-sculptural work only.
Painting: Works created in oils, acrylics, watercolor, etc. are in this category.
Photography: The camera is the primary source of the imagery and ends with a 2-dimensional print. Photographers are required to disclose their creative and printing processes.
Printmaking & Graphics: Printed works for which the artist hand-manipulated the plates, stones, or screens.
Sculpture: Three-dimensional original work created in any medium.
Wearable Art: Handmade hats, belts, clothing of any kind apply in this category
Wood: Original works in wood that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.
Other: Should be used for mediums that do not fit into the above categories. Artists in this category must provide a detailed description of their process and materials.
Artists are responsible for proper insurance and protection of work and setup. Liberty Center and The Arts Alliance will not be responsible for damage to work or setup due to weather or unrelated incidents.
All reproductions must be clearly and individually labeled.
Artists are responsible for their own Ohio State Sales tax permit, available at www.ohiosalestax.gov.
A booth may be shared if both parties have submitted join application which includes each artist’s work.
A representative from the Liberty Center and The Arts Alliance will inspect all booths onsite to ensure adherence to rules and standards. Displays must be professional and aesthetically pleasing. ALL tents MUST be white. ALL tents must be weighed down. Stakes cannot go into the ground.
